For Every Room Inside Your House:

Make sure you wash the inside of your windows (and the outside too, if you’re feeling ambitious!). Fall is a great time to let in some fresh air by opening your windows for a few minutes each day. And don’t forget to change your furnace filter! A clean filter will help your furnace run more efficiently and help improve your indoor air quality.

Now that you’ve tackled the inside of your house, it’s time to move on to the outside. Fall is a great time to get your yard ready for winter. Start by raking up any leaves that have fallen, and then trimming back any overgrown bushes or trees. If you have a garden, now is the time to start thinking about next year’s planting. And finally, don’t forget to give your gutters a good cleaning. Clogged gutters can cause all sorts of problems, so it’s best to nip them in the bud now.

Fall might be a little extra work, but there’s something about coming home to a clean and cozy house that just feels like Fall. So put on your favorite Fall sweater, pour yourself a pumpkin spice latte, and get started on your Fall Cleaning Checklist!
